The Thomas Wolfe Memorial, located at 52 North Market Street in downtown Asheville, is the childhood home of the acclaimed 20th-century novelist. Immortalized in his novel "Look Homeward, Angel," this Victorian-era boardinghouse offers guided tours that delve into Wolfe's life and works. Visitors can explore the preserved rooms, including the Wolfe family's playhouse, and learn about Asheville's rich history. The site is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with admission priced at $5 for adults and $2 for children.
